Great Features on the 2012 Aerolite Travel Trailers
Article by Steve Hatcher
If you have been shopping around for travel trailers on BoatNRV websites and dealerships, you have seen some of the amazing jumps in quality on low cost travel trailers in the last few years. I guess there are some benefits to a down economy, and getting a great trailer for a low price is one incredible advantage.
I’ve had a 16 foot Conquest trailer for a few years. I used it for camping trips, fishing trips, and a few cross country trips. Conquest trailers are very light weight and affordable, but there are not great for traveling with a family. The wife and kids have a different idea of fun than I do, but I was getting tired of such a basic trailer.
I have been looking around, and the new models that have really caught my eye are the Aerolite travel trailers. The prices on a new 2012 Aerolite are much lower than I would expect for these high end trailers. I showed my wife the 2012 212RBSL 22 foot Aerolite travel trailers, and she was very impressed. It has a full size bed, 3 burner stove, oven, duel kitchen sink, and it even has an outside grill. Now I don’t have to stink up the trailer with my fish.
They also feature a real shower, and the newer models all come with HD televisions. It will be like we are at home. This is so nice, I don’t know if I’ll want to take it on a fishing trip. And if the wife ever kicks me out of the house, I’ll have a nice place to stay!
For a trailer that costs less than my car, it has a lot of really cool options. First, it has the pop out side, so it is significantly bigger than my old trailer. We even drove the old trailer onto a BoatNRV lot, so we could experience the differences first hand.
What is really amazing is that my F150 will have no problem towing this much larger trailer. My wife and kids are excited about a trailer for once, so I think this will be a great investment.
This is a standard RV, so make sure you have the right equipment and experience before you purchase your own. That being said, these new Aerolite travel trailers are a great introductory RV for the next generation of RVers. If I has something like this 15 years ago, I would have been RVing every weekend of my life.
